I wont go in to the less than exciting stuff, but there was quite a bit that was done.
Since joining Pinterest, I've really started to get excited about making my own stuff instead of going out and buying a bunch of stuff or making prepackaged meals. Last night I decided that I wanted to have tacos for dinner, but as I was browning the meat I realized that I didn't have taco seasoning. So I made my own.
Viola! Taco Seasoning
1 Tablespoon Chili Powder
1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/4 teaspoon Onion Powder
1/4 teaspoon Oregano
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
Seasoning
Add your desired amount of seasoning, and 1/3 cup water (for a half pound)
Once it is done, spoon it in to you taco shell or burrito with all your favorite toppings and enjoy!
I added black beans, rice and sharp cheddar cheese
That was the end of day 6!
Now, for day 7, I was a little lazier than I'd been on day 6 because I was already finished cleaning up around the house. I started the day by making myself breakfast and then got to work on grading current event notebooks. Once I was finished grading current event notebooks, I went in to my room and started to watch the last episode of Glee when I heard loud noises coming from inside my bathroom - this is where day 7 gets interesting.
Two nights ago, my curtain rod fell down and we couldn't get it to go back up. Meredith decided that we would replace it with one of those curtain rods that curves out and gives you more room in the shower. I said O.K. Yesterday, I got the curtain rod back up, but today we put up one of the other types and man are my muscles tired (especially in my left arm).
It took us about one to one and a half hours to get this baby up, but it looks really nice now that it is done. The reason it takes so long? YOU HAVE TO DRILL HOLES INTO THE TILE! We measured everything out and then took to drilling through the tiles to hang it up. Let me tell you - the tile fought back.
Yes, I was given a power tool!
I wonder what day 8 will bring???
Quick note: AND I fixed a bike!
